Welcome to web-site Yevhen Paton Applied College of Welding and Electronics (shortly – Yevhen Paton АCWE)
The educational institution was founded in 1932 by the People's Commissariat of Heavy Industry in connection with the urgent need to develop new progressive technological processes, including electric and autogenous metal welding.
Previously, the technical school had two groups of students, nineteen teachers and two masters of industrial training, and the first specialty was "Technology of welding production". In 1935, the technical school was renamed into “Dnipropetrovsk Welding Technical School”.
During the formation of the technical school, the outstanding scientist Yevhen Oskarovich Paton took part in the development of prospective plans for the progress of the educational institution and fitting out with welding equipment. Therefore, in 1967, by Resolution of the Council of Ministers, the name of E.O. Paton was assigned to the technical school.
Because of decommunisation, in 2017 the educational institution was renamed into “Dnipropetrovsk Welding and Electronics Technical School named by E.O. Paton”. According to the Law of Ukraine "About Professional Pre-higher Education", in 2020 the technical school became the institution of professional advanced education and was renamed into “Yevhen Paton Applied College of Welding and Electronics”.
